ORGANIC AFRICAN BLACK SOAP BAR
- 100% Pure and Authentic Organic African Black Soap
- Imported from Ghana
Our Organic African Black Soap comes from Ghana. Shea trees grow wild on the Savannah. Village women collect Shea nuts and churn them into butter. They then knead the butter in potassium ashes of burnt shea branches and plantain skins. The black "dough" is then cooked in hot coconut oil. They are then taken out of the oil to cool and hand-molded into these rectangular shapes. They are then left to cure for at least 6 weeks before you get the world's most moisturising soap which will make your skin soft and your hair beautifully shiny. It works on most skin types including rough and dry or sensitive skin. African Black Soap helps clear skin bumps and spots, relieve acne, oily skin, and other skin problems. It is a great makeup remover and works against premature facial lines and wrinkles.
Usage of the Black African Soap:
Cut a small size piece from the bar, then store the remainder in a dry location. Rub the Black Soap between your hands, then rub your soapy hands on your skin and hair. Black Soap absorbs water easily, so keep it from sitting in water or it will dissolve away. When you start another piece of Black Soap, just push the old soap sliver onto the new piece and the two will easily unite; leaving no waste.
How to store the Black African Soap:
Pure traditional African Black Soap is a soft milled soap and has very high natural glycerin content. As a result, it readily absorbs moisture from the air. It must be stored in a dry location or in a sealed plastic bag or it will become soft as it absorbs moisture. Black Soap exposed to the air will have a thin white colored firm. This film is not mold, it is caused by the absorption of water from the air.
The Soap Cellar especially imports this amazing product directly from Ghana, Africa. The source of this product comes from a community-aiding factory owner who allows local tribal women to process their harvest from nuts into Shea Butter. It is then cooked into this great product, which is sold internationally with only a small commission from the factory owner.
